  1. Those are really beautiful paintings. I wish I could do something like that. *sigh*

  2. Painting was my first love. Now writing is. I wish I had the time to sketch and use water colors. Maybe this summer once I finish my next book.

  3. Liana, I'm so pleased to see more of your paintings. The beach paintings are really striking. Do you always paint on paper or canvas or do you sometimes use computer programs as well? In a previous post I saw that you were planning to have an exhibition of paintings in the summer, I think, about space and the universe? I'm fascinated by space and was just wondering what the motivation was for you behind this collection?

  4. Beautiful! They remind me of Van Gogh.

  5. Really cool pictures. I like the tree the best, although the picture with the sculptured sky is cool, too.

  6. Wow! Great pictures, Liana. A couple of them remind me of Van Gogh also.

I dabble a bit in painting and drawing. I like the acrylics--they don't smell as much as oil and dry pretty quick.

  7. Awesome work! I am drawing impaired but I appreciate good art.

  8. Beautiful, Liana! You are multi-talented!

  9. Beautiful paintings. I love your use of color and texture.

  10. Thank you All for visiting and I highly appreciate your comments!

I think the strokes in my pastel works remind you of Van Gogh, never thought of it till you spotted it!

Well, this display will have just local scenery-the next one will focus on space.

  11. Helena, my space collection will probably appear in mid summer-needs a lot of work to be done and the progress is slow as I work on other themes as well. I am trying to paint the way I feel like-not under pressure, so whenever it is ready it will come out.
Space has always been in my mind and the older I get the more I think about it! (Is it a sign of ...something!)We all come from space-we are stardust-so what's the point of leaving this fact aside? We tend to focus on planet Earth items but this attitude has to change!

I think PC painting can be striking, but it's not for me. I need something ...messy, to feel it all the way through!

  12. WOW! You're soooo talented, Lianna. I love the paintings. I agree with Janet, they remind me of Van Gogh too.

  13. Thanks Kathy!I hope I can develop my own style-thanks to you all here I am now aware of that similarity-ahh, I should get rid of it!

  14. I love the tree in the second-to-last picture and the sky on the last one. Great pictures!

We would love to know your thoughts on this post!
