I did use a...Linda, great information on outlining. I did use a very rough outline for my first MG fantasy and I liked that I had a direction. But, I find that I'm very much the pantser. What I do have to remember is to keep sticky notes on events and character cards/sheets as I go along. But even since I wrote this post my outline sketch for the next book is working well. I've been writing the scenes I've envisioned on post-its and sticking them onto a large sheet of paper. This way I can move them around to fit where I want them.
